What is a cholesteatoma?

A

Rare complication of chronic otitis media
Non cancerous
Abnormal accumulation of skin, squamous epithelium and keratin debris within middle ear cleft and mastoid air cells.
Causes local destruction

A

Foul smelling, non-resolving discharge
