Some schools were set up to offer girls a serious education BUT some schools charged fees which only the well-off could afford and very few girls got to university. Primary schools offered a simple education up to the age of 13

By late 1999 contraceptives were available, which led to smaller families, so upper and middle class women had more time + money BUT they were not available to working class women so their families were still large

By 1990, narrow and well rounded hips stayed the fashionable shape. Dress reformact told women to throw their corsets away BUT few women followed, and the poor didnt need to do this Because they couldn’t afford such fashionable clothes
