Tea pluckers stuffed extra tea leaves in tunics to carry more and heat from body infused the leaves and gave off an astounding fragrance.
Processing- leaves roasted not steamed to stop oxidation.

why is Lung Ching called Dragon Well ?
Legend - tea named after village which got its name from Taoist priest in 250 AD. He told villagers they could end drought by praying to a dragon who lived in a nearby well. When they did this, rains came and named Dragon Well, as well as the monastery.

How is Dragon well / Long Jing green tea processed?
leaves pan-fired in woks several times (different times / heating temps.) and not rolled for flat appearance. No other processing.
How is Jasmine teas produced?
leaf plucked in spring and stored until early summer when jasmine blooms appear.
Blossoms picked in morning then added to tea- so they open at night and fragrance is absorbed by the tea. Process repeated up to 10 x; flowers left or removed.
Youngest leaves hand rolled into Dragon Pearls- tears.
