What is the China - Pakistan Corridor?
A shared $46 billion project between the two countries to build a highway of roads, railways and pipelines from China to the port of Gwadar on the Arabian sea.
What does the China - Pakistan Corridor do?
It gives China more direct access to imported commodities from Africa and also oil from Iran, whilst also bypassing the shipping lane choke point of the straight of Malacca.
