Ren Hang

Ren Hang (March 30, 1987 – February 24, 2017) was a Mainland Chinese photographer.[1][2]
During his brief incipient career he was known mostly for nude photographic portraits of his friends. His works tend to include very graphic acts and Hang was arrested several time by PRC authorities.[3] His career was backed by the famed contemporary Chinese artist Ai Wei Wei, who included Hang in his 2013 show “Fuck Off 2 the Sequel” in the Netherlands and then curated the photographer’s 2014 exhibition in Paris.[4][5]
Hang was known to suffer from depression and on February 24, 2017 the artist took his own life in Beijing.
