Factors Affecting Food Choices

Corner stores sell cheaper processed foods but fewer fruits and vegetables, leading to missing out on important nutrients.
Cultural/Familial:
what you eat often depends on your family traditions or culture.
Religious or cultural food rules also affect what kids eat.
Kids with healthy-eating parents are more likely to eat healthy too.
social:
Kids are strongly influenced by ads (on TV, online, etc.).Most ads promote junk food (salty, fatty, sugary snacks).
There are fewer ads for healthy foods like fruits and vegetables.
Ads for healthy foods can actually help kids make better food choices.
