-Child reconstructs the crime by being encouraged to put herself in the place and time that the abuse occurred
-Tell me as much as you can, even unimportant
-Ask clarifying questions
-Go through incident beginning to end and then in reverse order
-Encourage to recount from different perspective, e.g., in room, by door, etc
