Conduct disorder clinical features
Persistent and serious violation of rules, societal norms & rights of others
Physical aggression directed towards people & animals

Conduct disorder
Psychological disorder given to patients < 18 years who consistently exhibit behaviours and attitudes that disrespect and violate the rights of others, often breaching societal norms & rules

Psychotherapy - CBT can be effective in helping the child control their anger & improve their problem-solving skills
Family therapy - can help improve family interactions & communication → can reduce symptoms

Psychiatric condition that typically presents in childhood
Characterised by a persistent pattern of defiant, disobedient & hostile behaviour directed towards authority
Does not meet severity threshold for conduct disorder

Argumentativeness with authorities
Refusal to comply with rules & directions
Deliberate annoyance of others
Blaming others for mistakes/misbehaviour
Spiteful or vindictive behaviour
