Act involving circumstances of indecency with or sexual violation of a child, or using a child in the making of sexual imaging.
Definition of physical abuse for CPP?
When the actions of the offender result in or could potentially result in physical harm or injury inflicted on a child

Three areas to consider in determining whether physical abuse meets the threshold for CPP referral?
The action of the abuse
The injury inflicted
The circumstances
List the five single actions that automatically meet threshold for CPP referral:
Blow or kick to the head
Shaking of an infant
Strangulation
Use of a weapon
Attempted drowning
List the 5 injuries that automatically qualify for a CPP referral
Bone fracture
Burn
Concussion
Injury requiring medical attention
Bruising or a abraision where the child is young or cannot have been accidental
Other factors considered in combination that may lead to CPP referral:
Vulnerability of the child
More than one offender
History of abuse
High degree of violence
Offenders history
Location of incident
Nature and level of concern from the notifier
What are the 5 actions that constitute child neglect?
Not providing food or shelter
Not protecting child from harm or danger
Not accessing medical care
Exposing child to illicit drug manufacture
Exposing child to environment with volatile chemical
What are the three steps OT and Police must follow?
Referral
Consultation
Agreement
Notes on questioning a child
If child has made a clear disclosure do not question them again
If it unclear and there are no urgent safety issues do not question
