x^2= sum of (O-E)^2/ E

where O is observed
E is expected- MEAN

what are the steps of chi squared test

A

step 1- O-E
step 2- (O-E)^2
step 3- (O-E)^2/E
REPEAT for all values
degrees of freedom = n-1 where 2 is number of categories.
step 4- compare to critical value.
