Q

what is hypothesis testing

A

statistical tests help us to understand the probability of obtaining a result as extreme as the observed value if the null hypothesis were true

if this probability is low, we reject the null hypothesis in favour of the alternative hypothesis

Q

what is the McNemar test

A

used when we have paired nominal data

we have two sets of frequency data for our participants

this is carried out in a similar way to chi-squared, but using a different approach to the null hypothesis

6
Q
