Cardiogenic - increased hydrostatic pressure
Non-cardiogenic - hypoalbumenia - Osmotic problem

What are the clinical manifestations of CHF?
A
SOB Hypoxemia Orthopnea - can only breath upright Cheyne-stokes - left heart failure JVD Crackles/wheezing
Enlarged liver and distended abdomen (RIGHT CHF)
Lower edema (Right CHF)

What is your treatment regimen for a CHF patient?
7 things
A
Oxygen - Low flow (mild CHF) or NRB (Severe CHF)
Diuretic - Lasix
CPAP of 10
Morphine
Pos. inotrope - Dobutamine
Vasodilator - Hydralazine
Limit sodium and water intake
