Chemicals in solutions (food/drink).

Taste buds, located by the thousands on the tongue.

Papillae

What structures are used in the touch system?
Skin
What stimulants are used in the touch system?
Physical pressure.
Where does transduction occur in the touch system?
In the receptors, just below the skin.
