How they work, Sieving is when you put a sieve on a cup of some sort and put the mixture ex. sand and rocks what will happen is that the rocks will stay on the sieve and the sand will fall through. Filtration work like when you put muddy water that has rocks or mud in it you can put some sort of cloth over the bottle and the water will only fall through leaving the mud and rocks on the cloth.
