Q
What bond do peptidases cleave?
A
Peptidases cleave amide bonds in proteins..
Don’t be fooled if it says carboxypeptidase, it will cleave the amide bond not the carboxylic acid group.

Q
How can multiple proteins be coded from one gene?
A
Alternate start or stop codons is one way in which multiple proteins can be produced by a single gene (they will alter TRANSLATION).
Alternative splicing of EXONS is another way multiple proteins can arise from a single gene.
