What is Fundamental Freedoms?
The freedom to express you opinions 🗣️, to choose your own religion ✝️, to organize peaceful meetings and demonstrations ✌️, and to associate with any person or group.
What are democratic rights?
The right to vote for members of the House of Commons and provincial “government”
What are Mobility Rights?
The right to move anywhere in Canada and to earn a living there, and to enter or leave Canada.
What are Legal rights?
Right to be free of imprisonment, search and seizure without reasons backed by law and evidence; right to a fair and quick public trial by an impartial court 👩⚖️ that assumes that you are innocent until proven guilty
What are Equality rights?
The right to be a free of discrimination.
How does the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms support individuals in exercising their rights?
Allows Canadians to challenge things that they think go against their rights and freedoms
