-Part of constitution(highest law framing way Canada’s governed)
-Protects rights of all in Canada

Collective & Individual Rights
Collective- guaranteed to specific groups in Canada for historical/constitutional reasons
Individual- under CORF, held by every Canadian Citizen & permanent resident
Labor Unions
Organization of workers acting to protect worker rights and interests
Sufferage
Right to vote
Official Language Groups
Minority- speaks minority Canadian official language in area(right to publicly funded school with enough pop)
Group- speaks one of Canadas official languages (right to speak bilingualism with gov officials)

-Establishes bilingual province w education rights for Catholics & protestants
-Metis supposed to receive land & farms, instead got scrips (money or random crappy land)
