Q

Dimeter used

A

It uses dactylic dimeter which imitates the sound of horses galloping, allowing us to emphasise with the soldiers in battle

‘Someone had blundered’ this doesn’t follow the dimeter, emphasising the blunder and criticising the command subtly. The stop also mirrors the stop of the horses when the soldiers die.
