Charge & Coulombs Law Flashcards
How do you calculate the dot product of two vectors?
Times the magnitudes of the two vectors together and multiply by cos(alpha), where alpha is the angle between the two vectors.
What does the vector/cross product of two vectors produce?
A vector which is perpendicular to both of the said vectors.
What are the 3 equations for cylindrical coordinates?
x = ρ*cos(φ) y = ρ*sin(φ) z = z
How do you work out the area of a curved surface in cylindrical coordinates?
Double integral with respect to Rdφdz in the limits between L and zero and 2π and zero. Equals 2πRL.
How do you work out the volume of a box on cylindrical coordinates?
Triple integral with respect to ρdρdφdz in the limits between L and zero, 2π and zero and R and zero. Equals πR^2L.
