Owns congregation and plantation of 70 slaves, has callousness to slaves, when he dies the slaves are happy.

Daughter of John, against slavery, she’s modest, self-possessed, great voices, sweet and seen as a heroine.

Sees herself as the “man” of the family while her father is away at war, she is a talented writer, her worst fault is her hot temper.

She steps up to instruct her younger siblings, beautiful girl and prosperous, her biggest flaw is she can be vain.
