Hourly pay
When you receive the amount for each hour you work

When you are under contract to make a certain amount of money per year no matter how many hours of work you put in

Job sharing
Two people share one full time job. They split salary and benefits
Job rotation
Employers are trained in different areas and rotate through the positions. This helps you use different schools and prevents boredom

Collective bargaining is the process of negotiating the terms of employment for union members, terms of agreement of contracts, wages, benefits, overtime
Unions protect older employees. It ensures that newer employees are laid off first, transferred or promoted if warranted
Progressive taxes
Take a larger share of income as the income grows
Ex) income tax
Regressive tax
Takes a larger percentage from low income people than from high income people
Ex) sales tax
Proportional tax
Flat tax
Stays the same regardless of income
Ex) house/ property tax
