A
Spanish explores that came to the americas in the 1500s and claimed large areas of land for Spain. Conquistadors means “conqueror”. The conquistadors often conquered native people.

Northwest passage
A
The supposed route across the northern part of America that European’s were Looking for but never found. The explores hoped to find a northwest passage from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean so they could get to Asia faster.
