Synchronized routines
A harmonious connection between two people in which one person will adjust their behavioral response towards the other’s actions and emotions.
Imprinting
An instructional method in which a young animal will become attached and follows that particular object or animal, typically their mother.
Internal working models
A cognitive representations of the self and of others that have formed the child-caregiver relationship.
Reactive attachment disorder
The child’s inability to securely attach bonds with other people. This characterizes many victims of early social deprivation and or abuse.
Indiscriminate attachment
When a child will attach themselves to another person due to having an insecure attachment with their caregiver.
Attachment
An emotional bond that a baby and caregiver or familiar person shares with one another.
Positive factors
The child’s personal and environmental aspects which is their source of resilience.
Risk factors
The child’s personal appearance or environmental settings that increases the negative outcomes that occurs in the given situation or event.
