Elongated shaft of long bone
Diaphysis
Incomplete bony basin formed by the coxal bones and the sacrum
Pelvic Girdle
Double-layered connective tissue membrane that covers and nourishes the bone
Periosteum
Inner bony surface of shaft. Storage area for adipose or fat tissue
Yellow Marrow
Forms red blood cells. Found in spongy bone.
Red Marrow
Generally cube shaped and contain mostly spongy bone.
Short Bones
Composite of two bones, scapula and clavicle, that attach the upper limb to the axial skeleton
