Autonomy vs. Shame/Doubt

If toddlers learn to exercise will and do things for themselves or they will doubt their abilities.
Initiative vs. guilt
3rd stage

Preschoolers learn to initiate tasks and carry out plans or they feel guilty about efforts to be independent.
Competency vs. inferiority

Children learn the pleasure of applying themselves to tasks, or they feel inferior
Identity vs. Role Confusion

Must answer or they become confused who they are.
Teenage years
Intimacy vs. isolation

The struggle to gain intimate relationships and attempt to gain intimate love or they feel isolated.
Generativity vs. stagnation

People feel a sense to contribute to the world or they may lack they have a purpose

When reflecting on ones life one may feel a sense of satisfaction or failure
