An organization that secures votes for a party’s candidates usually by exchanging political favors such as a job in government.
political machine
Political parties that form as an alternative to the two major parties. They are also known as minor parties.
third parties
A system in which two major parties win all or almost all elections.
two-party system
The formal structure of the political party and the members who are responsible for coordinating the party’s behavior and the support of party candidates.

A political process of cooperation through compromise.
