a stereotype is a widely held belief about a group of people
prejudice is a preconceived opinion or attitude towards an individual or group based on their membership in that group.
Discrimination, on the other hand, is the unequal treatment of individuals or groups based on their membership in a particular group.
Displaced Aggression
redirecting one’s anger or frustration onto a target that is not the actual source of those emotions.
The just-world phenomenon
the tendency to believe that the world is a fair place where people generally get what they deserve, which can result in blaming victims for their misfortunes and failing to recognize the role of luck or privilege in success.
know the characteristics of outgroup vs in-group
An outgroup refers to a group of people that someone does not identify with or does not belong to, while an ingroup refers to the group of people that someone does identify with or belong to.
