Chapter 8 -limb growth and dvp Flashcards
Week 5
arm and leg buds Face dvp Gut dvp Embryo in chorionic cavity Umbelical ring Optic cup and lens placode Branchial arches and clefts
How does the limb develop?
Limb buds has a mesenchymal core (made of parietal layer from Laterl plate mesoderm) forming bones and connective tissue of limb
Forelimb first, then hindlimb dvp
Where does the limb grow from?
Cells go from AER and differentiate into cartilage and muscle - Proximo-distally
What cell type does limb grow from?
Mesenchyme in the buds condense to form chondrocytes
What cells makes hyaline cartilage?
Chondrocyte
What is the name for bone development areas
Diaphysis-center ossification
Epiphyses-cartilaginous
What layer do endochondral ossification derive from?
Parital layer of the Lateral plate mesoderm
origins for cervical region
Scalen geniogyoid prevertabral - Pri
Infrahyoid -abxial
origins
For Thoracoabodminal
Intercostal=prim
everything in thoracic area is abxial
Upper limb origins
Rhomboids,levators and latissimus -prim
Distal limb muscles -abxial
Lower limb origins
Lower limbs muscles
What makes up the intermaxillary segment form?
- philtrum
- Upper jaw w/incisor
- Palatal component (triangular primary palate)
Merging of what forms the intermaxillary segment?
Two medial nasal prominences
Intraembryonic mesoderms layer
Paraxial - somitomeres,etc
Intermediate-urogenital
Lateral-body cavity
What layer does the digestive system arise from
Endoderm
What does the endodermally lined gut tube bound
Cranially the Oropharyngeal membrane and caudally cloacal membrane
What is the gut divided into
Fore-mid-hind-GUT
What does the midgut come from
Yolksac
What does the intestinal tract pass through?
Epithelial proli - Biochem maturat and Cellular different -
EBC
What are the stages of Lung development
Embryonic Pseudo-Glandular Canalicular Terminal Post-Natal
What structures do the lungs grom into
Pleural canals - Which connects the thoracic and abdominal region (Thats what the septum transversum divides the coelem into)
What does the diaphragm form from?
Mesenchym ingrowth (muscular somites components from c3-c-5 )
Pleuroperitoneal membrane
Septum transv.
What function do mesenteries have?
provide pathways for vessels nerves and lymphatics to organs
Thoracic cavity divide into:
Pericardal and 2pleural cavity
