Stage of life from birth to one year of age.
Infancy
When startled, an infant throws it’s arms out, spreads it’s fingers, then grabs with it’s fingers and arms.
Moro Reflex
When you place you finger in an infant’s palm, it will grasp it.
Palmar Reflex
When you touch a hungry infant’s cheek, it will turn it’s head toward the side touched.
Rooting Reflex
When you stroke a hungry infant’s lips, it will start sucking.
Sucking Reflex
The sense that needs will be met.
Bonding
Concept developed from an orderly, predictable environment versus a disorderly, irregular environment.
Trust Versus Mistrust
Building on what one already knows.
Scaffolding
The infant’s reaction to it’s environment.
Temperament
Stage of life from twelve to thirty six months (1 to 3 years).
Toddler Phase
Stage of life from three to five years.
Preschool Age
Stage of life from six to twelve years.
School Age
Stage of life from thirteen to eighteen years.
Adolescence
Stage of life from nineteen to forty years.
Early Adulthood
Stage of life from forty-one to sixty years.
