Practice of seizing sailors from U.S. ships and forcing them to work for the British navy.

Served as the second president of the United States, and was the first Vice President.

Was a United States Army officer and statesman.
Treaty of Greenville of 1795
Treaty made after the Native American loss at the Battle of Fallen Timbers. It ended the Northwest Indian War.

A period of far-reaching social and political upheaval in France from 1789-1799.
Washington’s Farewell Address
A letter wrote by Washington to tell his friends and citizens on declining his Presidency of the United States near the end of his second year term.
XYZ Affair
A political and diplomatic episode early in administration of John Adams involving a confrontation between the United States and Republican France that led to an undeclared war called the Quasi-War.
