Fluent- normal rhythm and rate, but nonsense

Difficulty recalling names of objects, words, etc.
Know what things are, or what want to say, but can’t find the words.
Neologisms
Ct makes up word in fluent sentence.
“Can you hand me the gobo?
Paraphasias
Aphasic ct’s substitute words that sound alike or have similar meaning
Do you like my new wrist clock?
Let’s go to the tar for a beer
Agrammatism
Articles, conjunctions, etc are left out.
I go now
Jargon
Normal rate and rhythm but unintelligible meaning.
What do you do for work?
“My go always, blinda time final”
Agnosia
Two types
Difficulty identifying sensory info
Verbal- can speak, read and write but can’t understand spoken language
Visual- can read, but can’t explain what read. Also can see face, but can’t recognize.

Problem connecting language area to write words

Problem reading when used to read fine

Brocas aphasia

Sentences usually contain nouns, verbs and sometimes an objective
Inability to understand complex sentence.

The zebra was killed by the lion- unable to answer who was killed.
