homicide
The killing of another person
culpable homicide
assign blame because the killing is intentional or the result of reckless behaviour
non-culpable homicide
homicides do not assign blame and no one is held criminally responsible for the killing.
first degree murder
Murder is planned and deliberate orpre-meditated
second degree murder
Any intentional killing that does not meet the criteria for 1st degree murde
manslaughter
A person is held responsible for causing the death of another, but the act is not considered intentional
euthanasia
someone who wants to end their life for compassionate reasons, such as to relieve pain and suffering from a terminal illness.
voluntary euthanasia
the person who wishes to die is able to give consent or permission. This is illegal in Canada
involuntary euthanasia
the person is not able to give consent because they are incapacitated
level one assault
assault; applying intentional force to another person without their consent
level two assault
assault causing bodily harm; attacking another person with a weapon
level three assault
aggravated assault;Grotesque beating, maiming, and disfigurement of the victim; often endangers their life

a vehicle that is moved by any means other than muscular power
