age related changes to vision, musculoskeletal function, and CNS. medical conditions, cognitive impairments and functional limitations.
what should nurses have in mind when assessing for driving risks?
some OA its a sensitive topic because you are taking away their autonomy.
best practice is: getting family involved to gather information (did they have accidents, unable to drive etc…)
why would we assess grief for OA when driving?
grief can cloud their cognitive ability to drive especially in OA who are already experiencing age related changes so awareness will be decreased

refer to optomologist to see any vision conditions
hearing aid implementations
