How does taxation depend on government?
Each different government depending on who they represent might tax more or less to pay for social programs of others
What are the principles of the Canada Health Act?
Publicly administrated: run by the government for no profit
Comprehensive: for care provided by hospitals
Universal: available to everyone
Portable: available everywhere in Canada
Accessible: available within reasonable time and distance
Describe the United States healthcare system
Health care is paid for if you fall into the low income bracket, even then it is very limited
The rest have to buy premium health care insurance that comes with its own sets of problems
Income Tax
Is based on what you earn, the more you earn the more you are taxed
Sales Tax
Is based on what you spend your money on, the more you spend the more you pay
