Second land ordinance regulated sale of land in the region north of the Ohio River.

Banned slavery North of the Ohio River past Kentucky. Prepared for future establishment of three to five states in the region.

SHAY’S REBELLION
Led by veteran Daniel Shays, poor Massachussetts farmers rose to rebellion against the Massacussetts militia. Proved to the economic elite that the Articles of Confederation needed to be revised/replaced.
