Dealer
A Dealer is a person, firm, company, association or corporation legitimately engaged in the business of buying and selling of radio transmitters and transceivers duly registered with the NTC.
A person or entity engaged in the buying and selling of transmitters and/or transceivers, including parts and accessories thereof. (NTC MC No. 2-05-88)
Permit to Possess
A Permit to Possess a radio transmitter or transceiver is a certificate or written authority issued by the NTC, authorizing a person, firm, company, association or corporation to possess a radio transmitter or tranceiver.
Permit to Own
A Permit to Own a radio transmitter or transceiver is a certificate issued by the NTC, certifying to the fact that the holder therof is the owner of the radio transmitter or transceiver described therein.
Permit to Transfer
A Permit to Transfer is a written authority or certificate issued by the NTC to a person, firm, company, association or corporation authorizing the holder thereof to transfer a radio transmitter or transceiver to another person or entity or to transfer the same to another location.
Dealer’s Permit
A Dealer’s Permit is a certificate or written authority issued by the NTC to a person, firm, company, association or corporation, legitimately engaged in the business of buying and selling radio transmitters and transceivers.
Purchase Permit
A Purchase Permit is a written authority or certificate issued by the NTC to a person, firm, company, association or corporation, authorizing the holder thereof to purchase a radio transmitter or transceivers.
What does the Central Bank of the Philippines require in its Memorandum to Authorized Agent Banks?
The Central Bank of the Philippines, in its Memorandum to Authorized Agent Banks (MAAB No. 51) dated August 25, 1978, requires that all applications for the importation of radio communications equipment, accessories or parts thru any mode of payment, shall only be given due course upon presentation by the applicants of the requisite Permit to Purchase from the Telecommunications Control Bureau (now NTC)
Any person, firm or agency intending to import radion communications equipment, accessories or parts must first secure a Permit to Purchase from the NTC. This shall also apply to holders of Radio Dealer’s/Manufacturer’s Permits and the government sector, except the Armed Forces of the Philippines.``
Construction Permit
Construction Permit is a certificate or written authority issued by the NTC for the construction or installation of a radio station as required by these regulations.
Permit to Sell
A Permit to Sell a radio transmitter or transceiver is a certificate or written authority issued by the NTC, authorizing a person, firm, company, association or corporation to sell a radio transmitter or transceiver to a holder of a Purchase Permit issued by the NTC.
Permit to Purchase, Sell, Supply or Grind Transmitter Crystal
A permit issued by the NTC to any person, company or firm authorizing it to purchase, sell, supply or grind transmitter crystals.
Dealer’s or Manufacturer’s Permit for Transmitter Crystals
Dealer’s or Manufacturer’s Permit for Transmitter Crystals is a written certificate of authority issued by the NTC authorizing a person, firm or company to engage in the business of manufacturing or dealing in transmitter crystals.
To pin-point the source of locally manufactured communication crystals being used by different radio stations, the following guidelines are to be followed:
- Duly authorized crystal manufacturers must stamp on the crystal casings their respective trade names, the date of manufacture/grinding of the crystals and the corresponding crystal frequency.
- Radio stations using locally manufactured communications crystals without markings must mark their crystal in accordance with paragraph one (1) above. (TCB MC No. 77-5, May 11, 1977)
Permit for Movement or Transport of Communications Equipment
A permit issued by the NTC authorizing a person to move or transport any communications equipment withing a specified period of time. (M.C. No. 33, July 23, 1973, ROC)
Permit to Demonstate/Propagate
It is a written authority issued by the NTC to registered dealers/manufacturers of radiocommunication equipment allowing them to use certain frequencies for demonstration and/or propagation test purposes. (TCB MC No. 76-8, August 25, 1976)
Manufacturer
A person or entity engaged in the manufacture of transmitters and/or transceivers, including parts or accessories thereof. (NTC MC No. 2-05-88)
