What is a comprehensive fitness assessment ?
It involves a series of measurements that help determine the current health and fitness level of clients.
Are fitness assessments meant to diagnose medical or health conditions?

- a way to continually monitor clients needs, functional capabilities & physiological effects of exercise
What are the cardiovascular risk factors?
cigarette smoking, dyslipidemia, impaired fasting glucose, obesity, and a sedentary lifestyle
What factors can lead to neuromuscular disfunction?
poor posture, repetitive movement (pattern overload), lack of movement, injury
Movement around joint become altered as a result of what?
neuromuscular disfunction
What is altered reciprocal inhibition?
when when a short or tight muscle causes decreased neural drive (actions potentially discharged) of its functional antagonist (or lengthened/relaxed muscle pair)
synergistic dominance
when the helper muscles or synergists have to pick up the slack for the prime mover muscles
