Line of hyaline cartilage that allows bone growth up until puberty

Plate converts to compact bone once bone growth is done

Small hole in diaphysis of bone for blood vessels and nerves
Nutrient artery
Brings blood into the medullary cavity
Nutrient vein
Carries blood out of the bone
