A collection of worksheets in a single file

A page in a workbook that consists of a grid of rows and columns in which you can enter text values and formulas and perform calculations
absolute reference
A reference to a specific cell or range of cells regardless of where the formula is located in the worksheet
argument
The parameters of a function
AutoSum
Command that allows you to automatically insert the most common functions into your formula
AVERAGE
This function determines the average of the values included in the argument It calculates the sum of the cells and then divides that value by the number of cells in the argument
cell reference
A reference that identifies a cell’s location in the worksheet based on its cell name - column letter and row number
chart
A graphical representation of numeric data in a worksheet
COUNT
This function counts the number of cells with numerical data in the argument
fill handle
A small square in the lower right corner of a selected cell or range of cells used mainly to copy data to adjacent cells
formula
An equation that performs calculations such as addition subtraction multiplication and division on values in a worksheet
freeze
To prevent portions of a worksheet from scrolling on the screen
function
Predefined formula that performs calculations using specific values in a particular order
legend
An explanatory list that identifies the patterns or colors assigned to the data series or categories in a chart
