What happened during the Tennis Court Oath?
Before the royal session, the Nation Assembly arranged to meet but when they arrived the doors were locked, they feared the king might forcibly dissolve the Assembly but continued to meet the nearest indoor tennis court and swore the oath that they would never disband until France had a new constitution.

What is the Storming of the Bastille?
Parisians forced their way into the Bastille courtyard to gain gunpowder and there was an exchange of fire and Delaunay was captured and decapitated, around 70 attackers killed

Rumour that the Bastille had a supply of gunpowder after the invasion of Les Invalides of 32,000 muskets and artilleries

Volunteers which would ‘police’ the city, restore order and protect the properties from attack of the King
