A woman was expected to obey her father, husband, and son. Parents arranged marriages. In farm families, women worked long hours in the fields. In addition, they cooked, spun and well flop, and cared for their children. In town’s wives and artisans and merchants help with family businesses and ran the homes. Some women gain famous artists, writers, and even warriors
