Know the American-Indian Story of the prairie chicken and how it might apply to a church and a pastor.

A

Eagle was raised as a prairie chicken and did all the things that the prairie chickens did. One day, he saw an eagle flying in the sky and wanted to fly high, too. But everyone told him he could never do that because he was a ‘prairie chicken’. The eagle died thinking he was a prairie chicken and never reached his full potential.

What four steps did most churches go through in implementing a new organizational and management system (AND EXPLAIN EACH VERY WELL)

A
  1. Communication - initial learning stage, people find hard to grasp so the pastor needs direction in teaching this.
  2. Clarification - feedback stage (positive and negative) several months
  3. Cooperation - resisters stop resisting, plans prevail, begin to see the fruit of labor 6-8 months
  4. Commitment - most of kinks have been worked out approx. 1 year
