Define final approach course interception, to include: mileage from final approach gate, and intercept angle.
Weather minima: at least 500’ above MVA and at least 3sm VIS
Intercept acft less than 2 miles from the approach gate (which is 1nm from the FAF) within 20 degrees
2nm or greater from approach gate, intercept with a maximum 30 degree (45 for helicopters)
Intercept within the approach gate by pilot request only
Do not intercept within the FAF under any circumstances
