- Determines how to accomplish specific tasks with available resources
- Next 1-52 weeks
Define Mission and Vision
- Mission: Organisation’s purpose
- Vision: Future directed, long-term goal of what the organisation wants to be and the specific actions to achieve it
What is the Planning Process?
Mission Statement → Vision Statement → Strategic/Tactical/Operational Planning → Goals → Action Plans
Define Action Plan
Course of action needed to achieve stated goal
What are the 2 Types of Action Plans?
Discuss their Differences.
Single-use Plans
- Plans developed for activities that are not likely to be repeated in the future
Standing Plans
- Plans that are fixed
Define Program
- Single-use Plan
- Encompassing a range of projects/activities
Define Projects
- Single-use Plan
- Of less scope/complexity than a program
Define Policy
- Standing Plan
- Outlines a gereral response to a designated problem/solution
- Allows room for flexible interpretation

- Compulsory to comply or otherwise, be penalized and disciplined
