Samuel Adams was the cousin of John Adams. He established what he called the Committee of Correspondence.The aim of the committee of correspondence was to keep the colonists informed about British actions.

He was a well-known Massachusetts lawyer who defended the British soldiers who shot at the group in the Boston Massacre.
Patrick Henry
He was the most eloquent spokesperson for independence. He said “ I know not what course other may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!!!”
Sons of Liberty
The sons of liberty were a group that protected the rights of the colonists.
Paul Revere, William Dawes, Samuel Preston
Paul Revere, William Dawes, and Samuel Preston all warned the colonists that the British were coming.

Their purpose was to keep the colonists informed about the British acts.
1st Continental Congress
The First Continental Congress was a meeting of delegates from twelve of the thirteen colonies.
2nd Continental Congress
The 2nd continental congress was a group of delegates that paid its army by printing paper money and chose George Washington as the commander of the newly formed Continental army.

He was the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War.
