Q

Describe the 3 methods of Fire Attack

A

Indirect - Developed during WWII, ship board fires, Llyod Layman started the idea. Fog streams remotely introduced as high as possible, intact building and windows

Combo Method - Developed in 1950’s, using 30 degree fog to make entry, pointing up and swirl around rapidly at the ceiling, Characterized by zero visibility due to steam production, pushing smoke and gases through out the structure

Direct Method - Water directly applied to the seat of the fire, Have sufficient GPM to kill the BTU’s
