What are reinvestment risk and call risk?

A

Reinvestment risk: if rates go down, can’t get as good a deal after higher yielding bonds have been called or matured

Call risk is the risk that a bond issuer will redeem a callable bond prior to maturity. Investors exposed to call risk are also exposed to reinvestment risk, because they then have to reinvest the money received from the called bond.
