color mode

three colors used to produce more colors.
addictive colors
used for lighting, video, and computer monitor colors created by using red, green, and blue light.
cmyk
based in colors being absorbed as the ink hits the paper and being reflected back to your eyes, uses cyan, magenta, yellow and black.
rgb
uses red, blue and green to make colors.
grayscale mode
uses up to 256 shades of gray.
foreground color
black by default used to fill a selection.
