What was the change we call the ‘Neolithic Revolution’?
The Neolithic Revolution is the change at the end of the hunter-gatherer lifestyle that allowed people to stay in one settled place and live there for a long period of their life and begin agriculture. This led to people discovering many inventions and systems such as government, writing, etc.
What happened at the end of the last ice-age in the Fertile Crescent?
At the end of the last ice-age in the Fertile Crescent, agriculture was begun and farming and herding was used by ancient people.

The world’s first city was believed to be Çatal Hüyük in Anatolia (modern Turkey).
What are four important things that the Sumerians invented?
Sumerians invented bitumen, a fuel-like substance used to waterproof houses and boats. They also invented the wheel, the sail and the money system.
Civilisations like Sumer did not treat all people as equals, explain why.
This is because social classes developed. This caused some people to be rulers, and some people to be workers or slaves. The two groups did not have the same rights.
