Q

What is the general structure of proteins in terms of primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary structures?

A

Primary: individual proteins represented with a chain.
Secondary: shows the chemistry of the proteins, has a backbone, proteins attached at the bottom, helix or beta pleated sheet.
Tertiary: introduces the different types of bonds (hydrogen, hydrophilic…) and how they interact.
Quaternary: combinations of polypeptides.
